Job Overview:
We are currently seeking a fulltime Tax Manager to join our growing tax team. The ideal candidate will have postdesignation experience with a specialization in tax for a minimum of five years. Responsibilities include:
- Annual and monthly (corporation & VAT) tax returns
- Develop & implement tax planning strategies
- Tax aspects of corporate purchases, sales, reorganizations and estate planning
- Prepare correspondence for internal use and client engagements
- Perform research for internal & external Tax needs
- Participate in analysis of new legislation & implementing planning ideas for our company
- Compile necessary facts, analyze viable options, prepare documentation & present conclusions in an accurate, organized and professional manner
- Provide up?to?date tax knowledge and advice to Directors, senior staff and all team members
- Work with a diversity of clients in a broad range of industry sectors: medium to large, owner managed enterprises and not?for?profit organizations
Successful candidates must meet the following requirements:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and French;
- Proficient in use of Excel and Tax prep Software;
- Experience using tax research software;
- Exceptional organizational, analytical and problem?solving skills;
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks
