The Democratic Republic of the Congo continues to face a major food security crisis. Around 26.6 million people faced crisis-level or worse acute food insecurity nationwide in 2026. Women and children, internally displaced persons, returnees, rural households and communities affected by conflict and recurrent shocks are particularly vulnerable, especially in the eastern provinces.

WFP has a Zero Tolerance Policy to SEA and recognizes that it is a gross violation of power and a form of gender-based violence that all humanitarian partners have to prevent and respond to. WFP is committed to ensuring that the community rights to dignity, respect and integrity are protected and met.

Under the direct supervision of the Deputy Country Director, the Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (PSEA) Advisor will support WFP DRC to implement the WFP Zero Tolerance to SEA Policy.
